AGARTALA, Oct 13 (TIWN): In a major development 5 NLFT militants surrendered on Thursday.

NLFT extremists namely (1) Bisurai Debbarma (33), S/O- Abhiram Debbarma resident of Subhamani Para, PS- Jirania, (2) Hiralal Tripura S/o- Chhatradhan Tripura resident of Karamcherra, PS-Dhumacherra (3) Jalaksa Tripura (27) S/O- Khakiram Tripura resident of Surjyahum Para, PS-Anandabazar (4) Rambadal Tripura (31) S/O- Prasta Kumar Tripura resident of Surjyahum Para, PS- Anandabazar (5) Kantamani Tripura (29), S/O Ram Kumar Tripura of Santipur, PS- Anandabazar surrendered before SP(SB) at Agartala.

During surrendered  Bisurai Debbarma  deposited one wireless set and some incriminating articles/ documents.

The above persons according to them surrendered due to frustration in extremists life and miserable condition in NLFT camps in Bangladesh.

G-Coy of 7^th Bn BSF and 13^th Bn TSR provided logistic support for crossing the Indo – Bangla Border and thereby facilitated the surrendered process.  They are being further interrogated.
