AGARTALA, Oct 13 (TIWN): “This is not a political press conference, we are here talking about her who not only shined the state’s name but also made her country proud”, said TMC leader Sudip Roy Barman in a press meet on Thursday.

A roar of criticism has been erupted against Dipa Karmakar when she returned the BMW car gifted by Sachin Tendulkar after her excellent performance at Rio Olympic.

Addressing the press meet Barman said, “Behind Dipa Karmakar’s success  no political party was helping, including Trinamool, whatever she achieved its by her own attempt. She is the overall of the BMW car.

Dipa and her father decided that the expensive BMW which was gifted by Hyderabad Dist Badminton Association, which she accepted without judging the condition-------will return the BMW back to the Association and will take back the money, which is anyhow her money”.

“After BMW she accepted, she was facing various problems in practical ground. There is no showroom of BMW, also not in Assam and she wanted to keep a driver, who asked Rs. 2000/- which is not possible for her.

She was working as Fixed govt employee and now she has been regularized. So, naturally seeing the expense she has decided not to bring the BMW in Tripura. But few cabinet Ministers in state has started to play game with Dipa’s decision, which is not at all right”, said Barman.

Barman further urged Tripura people to love her as all have been loved her.

“Don not ink-stain her, let her be the ideal”, said Barman.

TMC further criticized state’s bad roadway and said BMW will be “Incompatible” in Agatala road.
