SABROOM / BELONIA, Oct 9 (TIWN): All the big budget puja committees of Belonia,Santirbazar,Sabroom have become active to give a new touch and also grace to their celebration.

Durga Puja festival began here peacefully here, puja mandaps are seen active with their ideas and concepts to make their models, designs and decorations as varied as possible to outdo and even beat one another.

It is to be recollected that during the last Durga Puja, Belonia has been the favorite destination. Besides, well decorated and illuminated mandap along with live electronic demonstrations of selected epical incidents and above all the huge welcome arc and the unique idols of Goddess Durga and her offspring as well as, of course, the demon visiting her paternal home.

This year also crowd occupy the town during every puja evening eventhough rain caused disruptions.
