AGARTALA, Oct 5 (TIWN): No more waiting for Durga Puja as Statewide celebrations in full swing - pandal inaugurations started in Agartala.

From Sport star like Dipa Karmakar to MLAs, Social figures are inaugurating pujas in various pandals across Agartala.

This year's Durga puja is likely to be celebrated at 2509 places/ pandals in Tripura including 1014 pujas in urban areas and 1494 in rural areas. In Agartala surrounding areas, Durga Puja will be celebrated at 494 pandals.

Nearly 4100 police and 3350 TSR personnel will be deployed in the state to maintain law and to regulate traffic movement. Volunteers will look after the crowd & to control crowd every pandals have made separate entry & exist.

Huge highway security to be maintained and police will be given in every corners.

However, the accident issues held during Puja was raised at the press meet.

Launching of CCTV cameras in selected spots are undergoing but the exact number of CCTV cameras police didn’t told the media for the safety issue.
