AGARTALA, Sep 13 (TIWN): Along with the other parts of world, Tripura also celebrated Id-Ul-Zuha on Tuesday.

Id-ul-Zuha which is a festival of Muslims, is observed with Kurbani (ritual sacrifice) of animals of goats, cows and camels in various cities in India.

Muslims wearing new clothes and attending an open-air prayer meeting during Id-ul-Zuha, as many Muslims feel that they have a duty to ensure that all Muslims can enjoy a meat based meal during this holiday.

They usually sacrifice a sheep or goat and share the meat with family members, neighbors and the poor.

From morning, religious crowds attended Gedu Miah Masjid and other Mosques of the state to offer holy prayers.
