AGARTALA, July 2 (TIWN): Although Tripura Health Minister Badal Chowdhury claims high on Doctor’s Day-2016, but he was silent about the AGMC’s 34 doctor’s recruitment due to which High Court cancelled the job of those professors.

Tripura Health service especially in rural areas has not developed a single percentage after the ruling of 23 years by left front Govt. Moreover, the quality of Education in Govt. degree colleges have remained questionable as the students passing out of AGMC could not shine yet outside state.

In this situation Tripura HC on month of May terminated the jobs of 34 Assistant professors appointed in Agartala Government medical college in Tripura, has increased the doubt of the public.

With faults in the recruitment policy of the 34 Assistant professors, appointed in the year 2012 under the notification of Adhoc recruitment from the state government, Tripura HC on Thursday has terminated the jobs of these 34 Assistant professors appointed in AGMC and hospital since 2012.

Justice SC Das also ordered fresh recruitment in the post as the jobs of the 34 assistant professors were terminated following violations of rules in the recruitments policy and embezzlement in the reservation category into the post.

Apart from this, Tripura’s various hospitals are suffering due to lack of infrastructure, doctors etc.

Despite of several tall claim of improving the health service in the State, patients suffers from several problems gripping also in the state’s referral Hospital the GB Pant Hospital in Agartala.

Unfortunately, the junior doctors and the staffs are impolite, arrogant and indolent and they handle the patients with an off putting approach, alleged the patients.

In this situation how far Doctor’s day celebration applies for Tripura it’s questionable.
