AGARTALA, May 25 ((TIWN): In a shocking attempt to indoctrinate students with a flawed vision of our country's history, the Left Front government in Tripura led by its poster boy Manik Sarkar, the Honest(?) and Poorest(?) Chief Minister, has removed almost the entire Indian history from class 9 social science textbooks(history) altogether. Tripura’s Left Front government has removed Indian history from Class 9 textbooks altogether. The only national icon that figures in the book is Mahatma Gandhi,surprisingly not for his contribution to India’s freedom movement but for his views on cricket. Students in CPI-M ruled Tripura are supposed to be taught about the nobility and contributions of Karl Marx and Hitler but nothing about Indian freedom fighters is the hardliner belief of Manik Sarkar led Gov't. As such history of India's freedom struggle wont find any page in the history books meant for the students of Tripura reading under TBSE and its Comrade President Mihir Deb. It has been the policy of CPI-M party to get their puppets promoted to those sensitive posts from where party can control the core group. Mihir Deb's appointment as the President of TBSE is also a part of that plan though his stint as the Chairman of Pollution Control Board is still matter of debate.

Penned by a Comrade from Kolkata namely  Kalyan Choudhury, former head of history department in Kolkata’s Maharaja Manindra Chandra College, the book features the Russian and French revolutions. It also covers pages of the birth of cricket in England, Nazism and the rise of Adolf Hitler, and the history of agriculture.

Also there is a chapter on the Santhal rebellion and deprivation of forest-dependent tribals during the British rule.

 As expected Tripura Board of Secondary Education officials denied that Chief Minister Manik Sarkar’s communist government pressured them to prescribe the book. “We followed NCERT guidelines for the new history syllabus. Class 9 students used to study Indian history earlier,” uttered  Mihir Deb, TBSE's Comrade president

The BJP has alleged that the book is an attempt by the Left government “to paint everything in red” and brainwash students to follow Marx and communism. State BJP President Biplab Deb said: “The Left Front wants to paint everything red, even if it means destroying the education system. They are brainwashing students with Marx and communism. This is a recipe for disaster.”

The book composed by Comrade Kalyan Choudhury  based on the new syllabus for Class 9 has no reference even to the basic Indian history or the freedom struggle against the British .  The first chapter of this book  is on "European History ",  the next chapter is about the "Condition of Forest-based tribals during the British rule "while  the last chapter is on "How Cricket Developed in India and England."

It is really very unfortunate that CPI-M and its students union SFI protested against the deletion of the name of Jawahar Lal Nehru from the text books of Rajasthan but the party remains silent when same situation is created by its own organ.

And the Honest (?) CM Manik Sarkar too is FANATIC  to promote the interests of his party instead of the interests of common people.

It is to be mentioned here that every Indian was on criticism when Modi Gov't appealed to all to surrender LPG subsidies through " GIVE IT UP " but now when the poor women are getting free LPG connections why you are protesting against it ?  In a recent survey it has been revealed that people in India feel that corruption reduced in BJP led states drastically than any other states .

Manik Sarkar's ideological guru, CPI-M's godfather Karl Marx was known as a heavy drunker, highly imbalanced character during his lifetime in London and Russia.

Many history books to even BBC news items were made on this infamous drunker who is father of communism.

So, its no surprise that communists like Mihir Deb or Manik Sarkar driven by a dead ideology 'communism' which glorifies criminals in text books as part of CPI-M propaganda.
