AGARTALA, April 27 (TIWN): With 10 point charter of demands the construction workers federation of India, the state committee on Wednesday organised a massive rally followed by a mass gathering at Agartala and placed deputation to Labour Minister Shahid Chowdhury.
Demanding to clear their allowance, to pay off their salary, to bear the expenses along with a total of 10 charters of demands the Tripura brick field labour association backed by construction workers federation of India, the state committee on Wednesday placed deputation to labour Minister Shahid Chowdhury.
"Coordination Committee of Indian Construction Workers Unions" was formed with 23 members from Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Tamilnadu, Orissa, Tripura, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and West Bengal and Corn. Debanjan Chakrabarty as its convenor.
With the slogan of unity and struggle inscribed on its banner, the Coordination Committee of Indian Construction Workers Unions along with the general trade union movement, fighting against the repressive policies of the government towards the trade union movement and its economic policies which are heavily biased in favour of the capitalists, landlords and monopolists, and fighting for the trade union and democratic rights, shall effectively work to ameliorate the working and living conditions of the construction workers and make them a leading section of the mainstream of the Indian trade union movement.
It is to be mentioned here that With 4 charter of demands Tripura brick field labour association backed by CITU on Saturday last placed deputation to labour Minister Shahid Chowdhury at secretariat.
