AGARTALA, April 26 (TIWN): Chief Minister Manik Sarkar on Tuesday evening held a press meet to discuss important budget issues for financal year 2016-17.
During the Chief Minister's press meet it was announced that Govt has taken following decisions:
1. To increase subsidy under Swavalamban scheme from the existing Rs. 65,000?- per beneficiary to Rs. 75,000/-
2. To reduce the rate of interest for the SHGs.
3. To provide special incentive to sector for industrial development and employment generation in the state.
4. To revise 24 pension schemes implemented by the State Government and introduction of one new pension scheme for Cancer Patients.
5. To enhance subsidy to PDS beneficiaries.
The council of Ministers have taken few decisions regarding these matters on Tuesday evening in secretariat.
