Maximum temperature to hit up to 38 degree Celsius, says MET forecast

AGARTALA, April 25 (TIWN): When the city is already hit with scratching summer, MET forecast indicated that the maximum temperature will rise up to 38 degree Celsius in the coming days posing a tough time to the common people.

Residents of the city appear to be headed for a dry, long and scorching summer as the mercury has started soaring over the past few days.

The region has been in for an early summer as the temperature has been rising steadily over the last 10 days. The past couple of days have turned very hot and dry with the mercury touching 35 degree Celsius which is 3 degrees above normal in Tripura.  According to the MET official the temperature will further rise to 38 degree Celsius in the coming days.

Tripura is recently burning with terrible heat and frequent power cuts has also turn life miserable. The temperature of the State is rising day by day. People fell ill due to the scorching summer heat. Due to this various diseases like diarrhea, dysentery creates havoc in the remotest part of the State.

According to the MET Department, the maximum temperature recorded for the day is nearly 36 degree centigrade while the minimum temperature is 27.5 degree. The temperature will rise further- told MET.

With the arrival of summer, there seems to be a growing patronage among citizens for up market fruit juice stalls selling exotically named milk and fruit concoctions.

at waves starts spreading its effect to prevail in Tripura on the onset of summer season. During the last couple of days, people of the State are experiencing terrible heat. According to the authorities of the MET Department, temperature will continue to rise in the next coming days and heat wave will prevail across the state along with other parts of the country.

However, no sign of heavy rains had been indicated by the Meteorological Department also. The maximum temperature witnessed on the day is nearly about 35 degree Celsius which is 3 times high than the original one.

According to the doctors’ reports several ailments are swelling over the city and affecting the city’s health. Cases of heat exhaustion, muscle cramps, stomach upsets and vomiting are also on the rise. People are advised by the doctors to drink lots of water, salt and sugar and to avoid unnecessary exposure to the sun.
