Farmers left reeling after hail storm  caused record-damages the North Tripura's cultivation

DHAMRMANAGR, April 24 (TIWN): Farmers are undergoing huge losses due to the windy-storm and hail storm, which hit Northern Tripura.

Storm caused damaged in houses, roads, green fields across North Tripura.

Talking to a farmer at Kadamtala, under Saraspur he told this storm  damaged his full year’s source of income.

He is fully dependent on this profession but as his vegetables are damaged so, he is very worried about his income in next coming days.

He was basically cultivating vindi(Lady’s finger) and few other vegetables taking around 2 ekars of land---which is fully damaged.

However, apart from him, talking to other famers they informed about similar kind of losses.

Atleast hundred Ekars of crops in the North Tripura have been wiped out by a hail storm.

The storm brought strong winds and hail up to full North Tripura and also in Dhalai Dist.

During the fruit season, this storm accompanied by hails has also affected the market price.
