KAMALPUR, April 23 (TIWN): The anti-left political movement and planning among the tribal received a jolt as former MDC Muluk Chand Debbarma joined hands with CPI-M yesterday evening. After a long detachment from active politics and remained confined in the house, Muluk Chand chose CPI-M as his next political den. He joined CPI-M last evening at Durgachowmuhani at Kamalpur in a street corner along with some of his old aides.
A bulk of CPI-M leaders including the CPI-M Sub-divisional Secretary and MLA Anajn Das, former Divisional Secretary Kamal Kar, veteran leader Kusum Debbarma and local heavyweight Nibaran Malakar were thronged to Durgachowmuhani to embrace Muluk Chand in the party. In his speech Muluk Chand blamed both the Congress and INPT for aimless and baseless politics.
Further, he blamed IPFT for their effort to break Tripura. And the CPI-M leaders hailed the new comer with praises, whom they once used to abuse as an over ground agent of the terrorists and even tried to taint regarding murder of Bimal Sinha.
However, the political analysts opined that, this move of Muluk Chand would not bear any lucrative results for the left parties as they already had a firm base among the tribal.
Moreover, Muluk Chand also would not have much gain from this move. Now, how CPI-M would use this leader in their way remained the matter to be seen.
