AGARTALA, April 17 (TIWN): The unemployed youth trained under civil defence who recently protested in front of DM office for their deprivation from jobs of fire man has hold a press meet at press club on Sunday.

Addressing the press meet they further said that they will knock the door of the HC and if required they will also file RTI into the case.

It is to be mentioned here that a section of deprived youths who applied for firemen jobs against 384 posts under the Tripura Govt. were called by CM Manik Sarkar called them to his own residence and heard their allegation.

However, CM Manik sarkar also asked them to submit their allegations in a written form so that CM himself can inquire into the matter. After that event, the Tripura Govt. has noticed stay order on those jobs, which is showing Chief Minister’s plan-wise safety maintenance policy to save his own party.

It’s to be mentioned here on April 5  team of unemployed youths, protested before the DM office, at Agartala and charged allegations against the state govt. for continuously depriving the youths of the state regarding govt-jobs. Reportedly, on last Saturday, the job offers were distributed among 384 youths, among them however 11 posts were reserved for Civil Defence trained students. But according to the youths among the 11 candidates, only 4 candidates were eligible for the job, whereas the rest of the 7 youths had begged job via party channels. As per the laws, while recruiting firemen under Fire Service dept, a civil defence appealer must have at least 7 year’s Experience with regular training programme records. But the 7 candidates had only done with a 7 day's training programme, whereas many experienced people, who are presently engaged as the trainer for the new civil defence students couldn't not qualify for the job. Tension more prevails among the unemployed youths as they are becoming overage.

However, they further said that they will stage mass protest and via RTI they are going to file case in High Court.

This has surely increased pressure on the state govt from all corners but state government is bothered about the future of these persons who have lost their jobs due to violation of rules into the recruitment policy.

The Tripura government's recruitment of 10,323 teacher who future is yet at stake as HC has terminated their jobs which had led to a state-wide agitation by a section of unemployed youths and various political parties, including the Congress, Trinamool Congress and Bharatiya Janata Party, with the Left Front government being accused of failure to provide jobs yet another order from HC has sent shock waves across the state.
