AGARTALA, Jan 27 (TIWN): Aiming to curb down the rising pollution in the State, Tripura Pollution Control Board has asked the common mass to avoid the use of loudspeaker from 10 pm in the night to 6 am in the morning.
According the rules of the Sound Pollution, no one can use loudspeaker, construction activity, generator sets, loud speakers, public address systems, music systems, vehicular horns after 10 pm at night and not before 6 am in the morning.
It has been mentioned that atleast in the range of hundred metres from the any Hospital, Education centre and court no loudspeaker or mikes are not allowed.
If any organizations are interested to use loudspeaker or mikes in the restricted are than they have to place application for seeking permission from the SDPO.
According to the notification from the District Magistrate of the West, various organizations had to place application seeking permission for playing loudspeakers in the public areas.
Besides, it has been mentioned that the crackers whose sound is more than 5.90 decibel are being restricted to use.
However, it has been mentioned that if the any individuals are found breaking the rules, than the authority is bound to take strict action according to the law.
Noise pollution affects on the person’s piece of mind, the noises are recognized as major contributing factors in accelerating the already existing tensions of modern living these tensions results in certain diseases like blood pressure or mental illness.
Noise produces very adverse physiological effects on human health.
However, the administration has urged people to cooperate and to use less volume to speaker while organizing any programme as the effect loudspeaker are not known at once, but its effects are like a slow poison.
