AGARTALA, Oct 29 (TIWN): Co-operation Minister Khagenda Jamatia on Thursday inaugurated the Annual General Meeting of The state co-operative marketing federation of Tripura limited (TSCMF) at Badarghat in its own head office.

The meeting discussed and informed the members about the previous and future activities. Speaking at the meeting Minister Khagendra Jamatia said that it is an opportunity for the shareholders and partners to vigil about the company's accounts as well as reviewing fiscal information for the past year and clarify any queries regarding the directions the business will take in the future.

The Tripura State Co-operative Marketing Federation Limited (Tripura Markfed) discussed about the recently opened the store at GBP hospital complex for selling generic medicine, where the generic medicines are being supplied by the ‘Jana Oshadi Santha’ of union government.

The Health department every year renews the generic medicine list, in 2013 -14 the department has enlisted around 296 types of generic medicines for distribution among patients who visit or are admitted in government hospitals, added the dignitaries in the meeting.

However, from the meeting it is also learnt that the state government would set up storage facilities for generic medicines from grass root and more sale counter would be opened across the state.

Apart, the meeting also discussed on the issues of profit and loss details of the last year, budget was also placed, several rules were also amended and other proposals placed by the organisation Chairman were also discussed.
