AGARTALA, Oct 15 (TIWN): Two-day long State Level Cultural Festival has been organized on Thursday at Muktadhara.
This programme has been organized aiming to bring forward and to revive the culture among people of the state.
Culture comprises of food habits, dress pattern of the people, language they speak, knowledge they people gain from the society, religious beliefs. Besides, it also includes the behaviour of a person towards another and their attitudes and everything that is associated with the activities of life right from birth to the death of a person.
Speaking at the programme, the dignitaries has stressed on the importance of the culture in our society. They said that Culture can give people a connection to certain social values, beliefs, religions and customs. It allows them to identify with others of similar mindsets and backgrounds.
These kind initiatives must continue so that the next generation can know about our culture, so that it does not get diminish with the time and get dominated by the other cultures, added.
Cultural heritage offers a variety of benefits. However, it reflects the society we live in and our attitude towards other.
The programme was inaugurated by Information and Cultural Affairs Minister Bhanulal Saha in the presence of former Principal of Government Music College Tripurendra Bhowmik, Joint Secretary and Joint Director of School Education Department Nirmal Adhikari and others.
