Section 144 imposed at the Indo-Bangla border area of Khowai District

AGARTALA, Oct 15 (TIWN): With an aim to ensure peace and stability at the Indo-Bangla border area of Khowai District, under section 144 some rules has been imposed.

The order has been imposed from October 8 last and will continue till December 6, 2016.

According to the order imposed under section 144, no person will be allowed to move in the 500 metre range of area from night 8 PM to 5 PM in the morning.

However the order will not be applicable to Army, Para -Military force and State Police who are engaged in maintaining law and order.

Besides, no action will be taken against that person, if any person or patients holds any permission letter from the Police Super of Khowai District, Sub-Divisional Magistrate of Khowai. The Government officials who are involved in important official work, in that case also no action will be taken.

However, if anyone is found violating the rules than strict action will be taken and will be accused under section 188 of IPC. The information is provided from the office of Khowai District Magistrate.
