AGARTALA, October 13 (TIWN): Keeping eye on the ensuing celebration of Durga Puja, Vegetable Trade Association on Tuesday organized a blood donation camp at Maharajganj Bazaar.

Like any other year this year also the Vegetable Trade Association has taken several social initiatives for the betterment of the people.

Addressing the blood donation camp, Chief Minister Manik Sarkar said that Blood cannot be manufactured in the factory. One person can help another by donating blood. Therefore, people should come up any donate their blood so that the needy person can be cured.

Appreciating the initiative taken by the association, Chief Minister said that there is no alternative of blood. He appealed to donate blood as much as possible as there is no substitute for human blood.

Besides, he also urged to continue with this kind of social activities so that the people can be helped.

However, it has been mentioned that on October 19 women of old age home will inaugurate the pandal at around 6pm.
