AGARTALA, Oct 4 (TIWN): Aiming to find out the drawbacks of different projects under Health Mission of Northeastern states and to find out the way of ascension from the drawbacks, a 3 day long review meeting and workshop of northeastern states is schedule to organized on October 7.The meeting will be held with initiatives of the National Health Mission (NHM) Tripura in collaboration with Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India.The meeting will be held at Pragna Bhawan.Altogether of 180 delegates is expected to take part in the programme. Additional Secretary of Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India cum Mission Director of NHM C.K Mishra, a member team of the Joint Secretary of the Ministry, public health experts and consultants on behalf of National Health System Resource Center (NHSRC) and Regional Resource Center of Northeastern states and representatives from different Health departments of Northeastern states is expected to remain present in the programme.Delegates of Joint Secretary of Ministry of Health and family Welfare is expected to discuss on different issues. Also there will be a discussion on Financial Management and Quality Assurance and Model Health District.
Besides discussion over newly adopted efforts, discussion will also be done on effective financial management.
Over Rs 30 crores of funds are swindled by ruling CPI-M party backed Health officials in Unakoti District.
It is worthy to be mention here that NHM (National Health Mission) Mission Director Dr. Sandeep N Mahatme filed FIR against 17 Medical officials for direct involvement in Rs. 3 crores funds embezzlement in Kailashahar and North Tripura. Dr. Mahatme filed FIR against 17 Doctors, Senior Officials onApril 7 evening.
FIR filed against 12 Medical officials of North District CMO office and 5 Medical officials of Unakoti District CMO office including Former CMO Unakoti Dr. Dilip Das, Present CMO Dr Alak Dewan, Dr Subhas Barua, Dr. S.N. Chaudhury, Dr. Debashis Talapatra.
As per TIWN sources in Police and CMO office in Kailashahar, NHM scam may even cross Rs. 30 crore as alleged by Congress MLA Birajit Sinha in October 2014 alongwith documentary evidences. Sources also informed that Unakoti and North Tripura District corrupt CMOs are close to former Health Minister Tapan Chakraborty and trusted by CPM leadership.
