AGARTALA, Oct 2 (TIWN): Mamata Banerjee shadowed poor Manik Sarkar to such extent in Delhi that Manik was not allowed to deliver lecture or offered a chair to sit in dais, so immediately after the Kejriwal conclave at Delhi, the Manik-Mamata clash came forward again after the massive rally organized at Agartala against the brutal attack on the CPI-M leaders at West Bengal by the police under the regime of the Trinamool Congress CM Mamata Banerjee.Criticizing the misrule of the West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, and protesting against the deteriorating law and order situation and demanding security for general people, the state wing of Left Front (LF) held a protest rally on Friday at Agartala.The rally was organized by the ruling government which moved across several part of the city and raised slogans against the misrule of the West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. Slamming deteriorating slogans against West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, MP Sankar Prasad Datta strongly condemned the atrocities by the police on its supporters during a rally at West Bengal on Thursday.MP Sankar Prasad Datta, said that the Police atrocities on the leaders was ‘shameful’ and the party strongly condemned this attack. This attack by the police was totally shameful.

Over 300 Left leader-supporters have been injured in the brutal attack of the Kolkata Police and were admitted in Calcutta Medical College and Hospital for treatment.It is to be mention resentment brewed up when here that Left activists were beaten seriously while they were marching their rally towards the Lal Bazaar Police Headquarter, opposing the stance taken by the Police and the state government. CPI-M central committee member Deepak Dasgupta was injured by the lathicharge and was bleeding from his head. Also, women have been lathi-charged by the Policemen.

Many political leaders and workers as well as policemen were injured as a protest program organized by the Left Front sparked violence leading to pitched battles between the cadres and the security personnel in the heart of the West Bengal capital on Thursday.

Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) state secretariat member Dipak Dasgupta, and former Kolkata Municipal Corporation councillor Ajoy Saha were hospitalized with serious head injuries following a baton-charge by police.
