Agartala, Sep 8, (TIWN) Palatana thermal power project has generated 85 megawatt power on Sunday. It is expected that with the increase of gas supply, commission of power from the plant might increase, OTPC sources said. It is informed that after completion of earth link repair work both the steam and gas turbine was started day before Sunday while power generation was only 13 megawatt.

Later with the increase of gas supply power generation also increased.

According to OTPC officials, direction has been given from ONGC to take the pressure of 28 thousand cubic meters initially and accordingly with the limited pressure commissioning of power also remained limited though the capacity of power generation of this gas turbine is 232 MW.
