Although some restrictions are imposed of the plasticising such activities but r the existing restrictive laws have failed to stop gambling in the country.

'Teer' gambling is going on unabated creating a jittering atmosphere in the entire state. More and more people have started making cash bets upon prohibited betting and gambling activities in all most all the district.

With a motive to become rich rapidly, poor people as well as rich people have engaged themselves in such anti-social activities. Earlier the youths were totally ignorant of the said gambling. Presently, it scattered throughout hilly areas along with the urban areas due to the gamblers.

The business has turned profitable for a particular section; most of the people involved in the activity have been suffering a great loss. While the youths are supposed to remain attentive towards study, the gamblers at present are drawing their attention towards the disastrous activity.

Youths have found gambling more profitable as they need not to do any investment for the said business. A number of youths are getting into huge debt and often resort to illegal activities to fund their addiction including stealing from their loved ones as well as turning to other illegal ways of making money to gamble. The Police Station is also lying under the control of the influential person.

Hence, they are not taking any initiative against such unlawful activities. Demands were placed before the police administration to bust the gambling den for the sake of society but no fruitful action is taken against the accused.
