KAMALPUR, July 30 (TIWN): After a long pause and the debacle in the last bye-election Congress hit the road as a part of state wide program. Congress gave deputation to six point charter of demands to the SDM here today.
As part of pre-announced state level program, the Congress party organized for deputation to the SDM here today. For this rally was organized in which hundreds of workers participated actively.
The rally led by District Congress President Manoj kanti Deb, Councilor Goutam Biswas, Advocate B. K. Chatterjee and others roamed different parts of the town and gathered in front of the SDM office. There a five men delegation met with the SDM with five point charter of demands.
Among the demands proper implementation of Food Security mission and selection of proper beneficiaries; adopt steps to stop rampant corruption and to punish the corrupts; adopt strict measure to stop violence on women; unearth the real saga behind chit fund scam and deprivation of employees were important.
The District Congress President Manoj kanti Deb assured to continue the program until the demands fulfilled.
