KAMALPUR, July 27 (TIWN): The banner and flex stuck almost everywhere at Ambassa by Town Club created much controversy among the political and social arena from yesterday. Different political parties condemned such claims as well as many commoners treated it as an act of tampered extravaganza. But CM Manik Sarkar himself remained numbed up till now.
CM Manik Sarkar on July 26 inaugurated a mega blood donation camp organized by the Town Club on the occasion of their silver jubilee celebration. On this occasion the Town Club authority stuck flex and hoardings almost everywhere at Ambassa in which the CM was praised as “The Maker of Tripura” or “Tripurar Rupakar” in Bengali vernacular.
Now the state Tripura emerged in today’s position as a result of long efforts of democratic and socialistic endeavors initiated by each of our former CMs namely Sachindralal Singha, Sukhomoy Sengupta, Nripen Chakraborty, Sudhir Ranjan Mazumder, Samir Barman, Dasharath Debbarma and also the present CM Manik Sarkar.
Besides long history of the Kings of Tripura could not be denied. Moreover, the commoners of the State contributed greatly in every moment to make the State advanced. Hence by no means Manik Sarkar could be treated as the ‘Maker’. On this point, Ambassa Block Congress President Uttam Goswami and BJP leadership Uttam Adhikari condemned the act of Town Club and also of the CM on being numbed up.
Many commoners expressed astonishment on the fact that, why the CM silently tolerated such naked oiling of the Town Club, who even got irritated if the announcer of any program utter one or two praiseworthy words as titles before his name ?
