AGARTALA, July 19 (TIWN): With the aim of accommodating the existing shops near circuit house, a 2 storey Market stall was inaugurated at Kunjaban by Chief minister Manik Sarkar on Sunday.
Addressing the launching program CM Manik Sarkar said that this market stall is constructed to provide the best facilities to the businessmen to carry out their business peacefully at Circuit house.
This building would help the businessmen to manage a place, where they can sit and continue their business, added Sarkar.
CM Manik Srakar further said that water supply arrangement has been made with small bore tube well over head reservoirs and submersible pump.
Businessman in the adjoining area and neighbouring parts will be able to take advantage from the market stall. The market shed was constructed as the existing market area was facing problem in doing business and could no longer accommodate all the vendors, said Sarkar.
In a bid to improve the facilities at the circuit house market which caters to the needs of people this initiative is taken to provide the best amenities to vendors for the improved business in the area, said rural development minister Manik Dey at the inaugural program.
Addressing the gathering, Dey also stressed on the urgent need for waste management, proper sanitation and portable water facility in the market.
He also applauded the initiative taken up by the departments for taking such initiatives and constructing a market stall to accommodate the existing shops near circuit house.
It is to be mentioned here that a total of Rs 300 lakhs was sanction for the construction and the project cost stand at Rs 280 lakhs.
The market stall consists of 66 stalls, 32 at Ground floor and 34 in the first floor.
There are two separate toilets for gents and ladies in the stall.
However, CM Manik Sarkar, Rural development minister Manik Dey AMC Mayor Prafullajit Sinha along with other dignitaries remained present in the program.
