MOHONPUR, July 19 (TIWN): An unscientific road construction results in terrible consequences by destroying the poor people’s home and causing massive damages.

According to the reports, a road had been constructed before a year at Mohonipur Gram Panchayat No. 4 ward, under Mohonpur block before 2 years. The work was given to a local tender namely Nitai Saha. But in such an unscientific way that road was made without proper leveling and using cheap materials.

Moreover during the work, the drains had been closed by that Nitai Saha and he said that he will make the drain again.

But destroying the whole work Nitai Saha has been vanished. As a result during the rainy season their houses go under knee-level water which cause panics to them. Locals had gone to the PWD officers many times, with the urge to solve the daily problems. But PWD authorities had given a blind eye to their problems.

During this present rainy season, resident’s house namely Shyamal Sutradhar had been broken by one side along with massive destructions, however lves had been saved fortunately. Along with Shyamal Sutradhar’s home, Ratan deb, Rama Deb and others became the victim of such massive destructions at their own homes.

As a result, locals are agitated by this negligence of PWD who has turned a blind eye towards the daily problems of the common men.
