AGARTALA, July 18 (TIWN): Tripura Indoor Hockey association on Friday organized a felicitation programme for Tripura six-A-Side hockey team.

The felicitation program was held to address the Tripura six-A-Side hockey team for winning the 3rd place in the federation cup-2015 at Nashik.

In the year 2014, Tripura Indoor Hockey team participated in the senior hockey tournament for the Federation cup and reached in the seminal stage. Later in 2015 Federation Cup held at Nashik, Maharashtra from 19th to 24th June 2015 and Tripura won the 3rd place among the best 8 teams of the country.

However, the junior hockey team also participated in the junior national Championship but could not achieve desired position.

Speaking at the felicitation the dignitaries encouraged the team and motivated the sports lovers to keep the flag of Tripura flying high.

Minister Naresh Jamatia, Deputy Speaker Pabitra kar, Dilip chakraborty Secretary for sports council along with other dignitaries remained present in the program.
