Nayanbasi sent back to ‘home’

Agartala, Aug 12 (TIWN) Supreme of the almost defunct National Liberation Front of Tripura(NLFT), Nayanbasi Jamatia, has been sent to Teliamura for treatment.
He surrendered before the SDPO (Teliamura) last Friday. Health condition of the rebel leader is not well and hence after taking him to the Joint Interrogation Cell of Special Branch for interrogation, he was sent back to his ‘home’ for treatment.
Meanwhile, the overall security of the state has been beefed up to ensure peaceful celebration of the Independence Day. Keeping in mind the ‘normal’ security threats, the State Police and the administration are equally alert to handle any odd-situation, if any.
