AGARTALA, July 10 (TIWN): LIC of India, Agartala branch-I on Thursday celebrated Agents Day in the presence of Ramakrishna Mission Secretary Swami Hitakamananda and Senior Divisional Manager D. P Banarjee at Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhavan.
Talking to TIWN, Branch Manager (Sale) Alok Kumar Jha said that till day the Agartala branch has 1070 agents and in the current year they have recruited 50 agents. Further, they have a target to recruit 250 agents more.
Detailing about the last year investment, Jha said that through 27, 000 policies they have collected 29 crores of FPI (First Premium Income). The next target of the branch is to collect 36.7 crore from the market with a coverage of 33, 250 policies.
Further he said that they had to provide security on around 6.50 lakh. The LIC has 4 branches in Tripura- Udaipur, Dharmanagar, Agartala 1 and 2. They also have satellite office of the benefits of the common people.
