BELONIA, July 6 (TIWN): The arrested accused placed before the Belonia court on Sunday, asking for remand, had found guilty for using fake PRTC and Caste Certificate for issuing some documents, confirmed Sub-Inspector Sushanta Deb.
Two of them were arrested on July 4 from their residential area at Radhanagar under Puran Rajbari Police Station, said Sub-Inspector Sushanta Deb. The accused were identified as Nepal Paul (35) and Jyotish Debnath (40).
According to Sushanta Deb, these two accused were arrested following an investigation, after Deputy Collector Magistrate (DCM) Subhra Gupta registered a complaint against them for submitting fake PRTC and Caste Certificate for issuing some documents.
DCM Subhra Gupta registered a complaint against the fraud on July 3.
Sushanta Deb mentioned that as per the complaint registered, the fake certificates were submitted on June 26, 2015. After that when the certificates proceeded for verification, the officials found it fake. Enhancing the fraud happened in the office; Deb said that while verifying the certificates, the official found fake signature of SDM.
Smelling something fishy, the concern authority further investigated and found that till date no certificate has been issued by these names.
After the concern authority confirmed about the situation, DCM registered a complaint. The police on Sunday placed the accused before the court asking for remand.
The concern authority is demanding action against the accused that have used fake certificate and tried to fool the authority.
