AGARTALA, July 2 (TIWN): In a terrible incident of road mishap, three people were critically injured after a truck collided with an auto at Ashram Choumuhani on Thursday morning.
The injured were identified as Laxmi Pal, a resident of Boldakhal, Goutam Chakraborty of Badharghat and Dilip Banik of North Badharghat.
The injured are presently admitted to the GB hospital.
Among the three injured persons, Dilip Banik is the auto driver and the other two were the passengers of that auto.
The incident occurred when a truck bearing the registration number of TR01-R-1641, collided with the auto bearing the registration number TR01-C-3448.
The auto was of Agartala – Chandrapur road. The incident left the auto in a twisted condition. The passengers and the drivers somehow managed to save their lives from this terrific incident.
Both the vehicles had been seized by the West Police.
Further, the police had arrested the truck driver from the spot.
The incident terrified the locals of that area. Specifying the incident the locals said that the incident happened in the early morning when there was less rush of vehicles on the road.
Further, they urged the authorities including the vehicle drivers to maintain rules and to drive safely so that the public including the riders can be safe from uncertain accidents.
