AGARTALA, June 2 (TIWN): Demanding to ‘‘provide land and house to the poor farmers’’ of South Chandrapur and Chandrapur, Tripura Khetmojur Union (TKU) on Thursday placed 27 points charter of demands to the Agartala Municipal Corporation Mayor Dr. Prafullajit Sinha.

The poor farmers who are recently holding APL cards, the union has demanded to provide them BPL cards under National Food Security so that they can enjoy the subsidies. They demanded to construct pucca road and drains in the lanes of South Chandrapur for the welfare of the resident.

The non-functional bulbs in the electric polls would be replaced soon, demanded the union. The 27 points charter of demands includes construction of primary health centre at South Chandrapur and to convert the Primary school of that area in to a higher secondary school. Further they urged to construct a public shed at the Blue Lotus Club Chowmuhani or at Kargil Choumuhani.

They also demanded for a brick soling road from Town Indranagar to Chandrapur Market and also for the construction of metal road at the 18 number ward of Dhaleshwar.

For the welfare of the children of that area, the union demanded to enforce an Anganwadi so that the children can gain education.
