AGARTALA, June 9 (TIWN): Tripura on Monday sounded alert for the ‘Maggi’ noodles banning its sale, until the report finalise its quality. Food and Civil supplies Minister Bhanulal Saha on Monday said, “We have already send the samples to Pune as we do not have any laboratory here.â€
Nestle’s Maggi was banned in the state following an order by the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) imposing a country-wide ban on it.
However interestingly despite the ban of the ‘Maggi’ noodles here in the state alongwith other states the shopkeepers here has been found, selling the magi noodles at large.
The trouble started when the Food Safety and Drug Administration (FSDA) Lucknow found a few samples to have lead beyond permissible limits and the presence of Monosodium Glutamate (MSG) even though the packet says 'No MSG'.
