Agartala, Sep1, (TIWN) To ensure safe and peaceful celebration of upcoming Durga Puja, Agartala Municipal Council (AMC) issued a number of guidelines for several Clubs as well as Puja Committee organizers. All the organizing Committees have been asked to take permission from the respective Zonal offices of AMC submitting prescribed forms within September 30 next.

As many as nine guidelines have been set for the Puja organizers. The conditions include permission from State Electricity department, Drinking Water and Sanitation department; permission from BSNL and Traffic Police.

 Pandals must be erected at least 8 feet from the transmission line and emersion must be completed day after the ‘Bijaya Dashami.’ Moreover, a certificate must be issued by a registered engineer regarding the fulfillment of basic norms of the pandals, sources said on Monday.
