Agartala, Aug 31, (TIWN): Tripura Employees Samanway Committee (TESC) will stage sit-in-demonstration in support of 17-points charter of demands in front of Durgabari here in the city on September, 8. According to the press communiqué released recently, the Committee would place demand of providing salary to the government teachers as per the central government employees including grade pay.
They also demanded the state government to introduce minimum wage of Rs. 5,000 for the employees of CHG Anganwadi centre, A.L teachers and P.T.I with facilities of pension, GPF and holiday. In addition, they demanded the state government to provide a source of income to at least one family member, if the employee dies during on duty.
All the contractual DRW, contingent, part-time and slip workers would have to be regularized. Likewise, the employees of T.R.T.C would have to be endured pension, leave encashment which is the government employees are enjoying are few more demands. Among their other demands, filling of all the vacant posts by recruiting through service commission, providing all the pending facilities to the ex-government employees like the central pensioners including provision of pending 33% of Dearness Allowance (DA) immediately would also be included. Besides, they would raise voice so that the state government withdraws the new pension bill as soon as possible.
