Tripura Pradesh Congress faces in-house uproar: Much hyped leaders skip party meetings headed by Chief; Congress likely to face major setback in ADC poll

AGARTALA, February 17 (TIWN): The Tripura Pradesh Congress Committee has been facing a major uproar among the section of much hyped congress leaders ahead of the ADC election. According to a section of congress leaders, the Pradesh Congress is likely to face another setback in the upcoming TTAADC election here in Tripura. However but it is mentionable that when rest of the political parties alongwith the regional parties has already been geared up for the election and seems to be making inroads to sweep the election, on the other hand the Pradesh Congress remaining busy in arranging party programmes and meetings. Pradesh Congress has been facing major uproar recently since after Birajit Sinha appointed as a new Congress Chief, with the anti-Birajit lobby remaining in backtrack skipping every party meetings, while the couple of new faces has come up making their way out to grab the lost chairs. According to the highly placed source of the Tripura Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC), the congress sees no future ahead with Birajit in chair and is likely to face a major setback in the upcoming ADC election. AICC General Secretary and also North East in-charge V. Narayanswami is scheduled to arrive here in Tripura on February 24 to take stock of the current political status of the congress here.

One might assume certain strategies of the congress here following the upcoming ADC election, but the brand new policy under Sinha has brought nothing other than the strategy to strengthen the party from the grass root level and reconstitute it, with the backtrack of the much hyped congress leaders.
 
Some of the once hyped leaders who has been gnashing their teeth against congress has now got an opportunity to come up once again chairing meetings and programmes, under the leadership of Birajit Sinha. Whereas it is mentionable here that since after the Birajit came in power as a new congress chief, the anti-Birajit lobby has been witnessed to be boycotting every meetings and press meets arranged by Sinha.
The sources in the Pradesh Congress also added that the congress Chief Birajit might become aged reconstituting the party from the grass root level, while the party takes no strategy and policies for the upcoming TTAADC election. According to the political analysis the congress under the leadership of Birajit now seems to have owned the only policy – “Slow and steady always wins the race”. A section of leaders of the Congress says, building up already strong organization will not help the party now to move forward with its policy to raise voice against corruption and scams here in Tripura.
It is to be mentioned here that the new Congress Chief Birajit standing tall along with the CPI (M) here has owned a sudden drive against the BJP at the center, while a section of congress leaders says that this will not help the party congress to defeat the left front here in Tripura, rather it will help Birajit to merge with the CPI (M).
However, according to the political analysis, the current status of the Pradesh Congress might bring major hurdles among a section of much hyped congress leaders. The leaders also might also loose their chair in near future with the new Congress Chief Birajit Sinha along with a couple of sit-in leaders of the congress making their way out to stand tall.
