AGARTALA, May 7 (TIWN): As India is preparing for nationwide mock drills, following a terrorist attack in Jammu and in West Tripura District also the mock drill was organized.
“There will be a blackout at 6 PM,” informed DM, indicating a power cutdown will happen following the blackout.
“Like the whole Country, West Tripura District is also conducting a Civil Defence Mock Drill today,” DM Vishal Kumar said.
The drill was conducted at the Umakanta Academy English Medium School ground from 3 PM onwards.
States and Union Territories have been asked to operationalise air raid warning sirens and put in place crash blackout measures in selected areas. Besides, civilians will be trained on safety protocols to follow during an aerial or ground assault.
