Talking to media, Sabda Kumar Jamatia, Tripura Adibasi Congress committee chairman said, “Recently we observed that with Bangla and Debnagari script, books will be published and questions also will be published. Our demand is clear that we want Roman script for Kokborok.”

With the demand for using Roman script for books and question papers, the Congress wing submitted a petition to the Education Department.
