NEW DELHI, July 27(TIWN): A sting operation by India Today has exposed BediRam, a  Bharatiya Samaj Party (SBSP)  MLA for being directly involvedin the NEET-UG 2024 scam. The sting operation footage reveals the MLA is accepting thefact of his bribe acceptance in exchange for paper leaks and changing results,which has fuelled turmoil amid the NEET-UG scam explode is storming protestsacross India. 

Cases against Bedi Ram have been registered in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh for leaking exam papers for recruitment to the police and Railways.

Congress party has slammed the BJP over the major medical scam whereas, today during NSUI activists’ protest at the NTA building in New Delhi, police personnel were spotted brutally indulging in lathi-charges on the protesters.

Bedi Ram's previous scams : In 2009, the Special Operations Group (SOG) in Jaipur registered an FIR against Bedi Ram in the Railway recruitment paper leak case. In 2006, Bedi Ram was slapped with the Gangster Act for leaking the question paper for recruitment in Railways. Two years later, another case was registered in Gomti Nagar. In 2010, an FIR was registered against Bedi Ram in Madiahu, Jaunpur, for leaking the police recruitment exam paper. Another case was registered in 2014, reports India Today. 

According to data the MLA owes over 24 crores of assets as per the latest declaration before the ECI and his self-profession is shown as “agriculture”.
