TELIAMURA, June 26 (TIWN): A sixty-year-old woman was killed after being electrocuted.
The incident took place in Karilong Shishubihar Ward No. 2 area of ??Teliamura.
According to the report, Basna Debnath (60) wife of Rakhal Debnath, a resident of Ward No. 2 in Karilong Shishu Bihar, was electrocuted when she went to see what was wrong with the electrical wires at the back of the house amid a power outage. She was caught by the electricity and fell to the ground.
Since then she had gone missing and her family members were searching for her.
At last she was found lying on the ground behind her house. Witnessing the incident, when her husband went forward to see what happened, he was also electrocuted, but he survived.
She was rushed to the hospital but the doctor on duty at Teliamura Hospital declared her dead.
