AGARTALA, June 19 (TIWN): With the initiative of SFI-TSU Santir Bazar and Belonia Sub-Committee a deputation was placed to the South Tripura District Education Officer based on urgent six-point demand for students.

SFI Santir Bazar Sub-Divisional Secretary Debashis Das, President Kaishik Patari, Editorial Board Member Tanmoy Ghosh, Bilonia Sub-Divisional Secretary Prosenjit Vaidya, President Saurabh Pal and TSU Bilonia Sub-Divisional Secretary Gautam Reang were present.

SFI demanded opening of science stream in local higher secondar school and infrastructure development.

Also other issues of the students like teachers’ shortage, distance between school and lab due to insufficient infrastructure were too raised before the education officer.
