AGARTALA, June 8 (TIWN): Raising various demands with increasing salary, workers of TSECL under Vision Plus, gheraoed the Electricity Office on Saturday.
Around 170-180 linemen and helpers are working under Vision Plus, a subsidiary of Tripura State Electricity Corporation Limited. When the staff were joining the work, they were informed that their salary will be increased every year. But despite crossing 3.5 years their salary was not increased, which brewed angst among the linemen and helpers. Also, they are being given 12 hours duty instead of 8 hours.
Centering these linemen and helpers of each sub-division gheraoed the power department. Their demand is to reduce to duty time, to recruit more staffs as the staff is shortage in each subdivision. Demand also raised to increase their salary.
Demand was also raised to arrange more vehicle as a division couldn’t run with only vehicles.
The staff said that they will continue their agitation until their demands are met.
