KAILASHAHAR, June 7 (TIWN): Renowned poet Himadri Nandan Deb’s statue was vandalized in Kazirgaon area of ??Ward No. 6 of Kailashahar Municipal Corporation along with well-intentioned people including poets and writers of the entire state.

Kailashahar Municipality Chairperson Chapla Rani Debray condemned the incident and demanded immediate arrest of those who were involved in the incident.

It should be noted that Himadri Nandan Deb was a famous poet in the North Eastern region including Tripura. Late poet Himadri Nandan Deb was also a permanent resident of Kazirgaon area of ??Kailashahar city.

Poet Himadri Nandan Deb died on April 1, 2010, due to an old age-related health issue.
