AGARTALA, June 2 (TIWN): Exit polls declared by prestigious news organizations in India declared Modi’s victory on 4th July, considering BJP and its NDA allies to surpass 400 seats. Reacting to the exit poll, Tripura BJP State President Rajib Bhattacharjee said, “This exit poll clears the absolute majority of BJP and NDA. So, our target of abki-bar-charso-par will be proven true. However, some media predicted like 350 seats but I believe by July 4, it will become 400 because Indian people have trusted in PM Modi’s guarantee for Vikashita Bharat.”

Opposition leader Jitendra Chowdhury compared the 2024 election with 2004, saying in 2004 BJP lost the poll even though Indian media predicted Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s victory.

Former Chief Minister, Politburo member Manik Sarkar left a neutral statement saying, that as media predicted something, INDIA leaders predicted something else. Like you (media) we are also waiting for July 4 results,” said Manik Sarkar.

Congress MLA Sudip Barman contradicted with exit poll calling it fabricated.

“These exit polls are motivated, targeting to serve the political interest of the party. These are far away from the truth. I will give you examples :- In Haryana, there are 10 seats but in Zee News and AajTak they predicted BJP will win 16 to 18 seats. In Bihar, they projected LGP is winning 4 to 6 seats whereas LGP is contesting only in 5 seats. In Tamil Nadu, they projected Congress to win 13 to 16 seats whereas Congress is contesting only 9 seats. It shows people who manufactured these are not well acquainted with the reality. The reality is INDIA is going to form the government.

"This exit-poll is a conspiracy to weaken the opposition psychologically," said Tripura Congress President Asish Saha.
