AGARTALA, May 12 (TIWN): Players from all Tripura gheraoed Tripura State Olympic Association Secretary Rupak Deb Roy’s house based on an allegation of embezzling money. It is alleged that Rupak Roy instead of selecting State’s played selected Out State’s playing by depriving state’s player using state’s address to embezzle money. Also, it is alleged that the games don’t exist in Tripura like Scuba Diving, Cycling, and Yachting, showing those games names Rupak Deb Roy’s embezzle money since the past 15-20 years. Allegation were also raised against Roy that he is giving Certificates in exchange for money.

Based on the allegations and depriving state’s players, on Friday all the state’s players gheraoed Tripura State Olympic Association Secretary Rupak Deb Roy’s house in Dhaleshwar area under the leadership of Sujit Bhowmik, who is associated with various sports organizations.

The matter was raised to the Sports Department, Sujit Bhowmik along with other Hockey players while protesting demanded that strict legal action should be taken against Tripura State Olympic Association Secretary Rupak Deb Roy.

After receiving the gheraoed news, Police of East PS rushed to the spot and later the players raised Complaint to Rana Chatterjee, the in-charge of East Police Station against Rupak Deb Roy.
