UDAIPUR, May 8 (TIWN): Tension erupted in Udaipur market after a migrant laborer named Abdul Goni had died unnaturally and journalists reached the spot to cover the incident. The dead body was found in Udaipur Bazar India and Hotel Radha International Parking zone’s middle space. The body was in hanging condition but instead of informing police, few businessmen allegedly tried to move the dead body from the spot. Getting information via sources journalists rushed to the spot but a businessman named Samarendra Roy started misbehaving with the media persons and stopped them from taking footage. Allegedly, Samarendra Roy had threatened journalist Rajib Bhowmik of murdering him.
Question raised, why did the businessmen want to suppress the incident ?
Also, no information was given to the deceased’s family about his death. Doesn't a migrant worker's life matter at all ?
Later, police reached the spot and recovered the dead body. An FIR was lodged against Samarendra Roy in R.K.Pur PS.
