Mithu Majumdar of local Maiganga area has been associated with drugs business for a long time. Although the police had specific information, no action was being taken against Mithu, who was showing up to the public for unknown reasons. 

In addition to using his own head, he used his personal network to ensnare Mithu, one of the drug kingpins of Teliyamura's drug empire. Acting on information from sources, police sent plainclothes police and caught Mithu with 135 crores of illegal drugs and cash.

While giving his opinion on the whole issue, Prasoon Kanti Tripura said,,, the anti-narcotics police operation will be strong in the coming days as well. Apart from this, he also informed that a case under specific NDPS section will be taken against accused drug dealer Mithu.

Even though the police were not taking any action against Mithu for some unknown reason despite continuing to do some kind of open drug dealing for a long time, finally Mithu was caught in the police net with a large quantity of drug paraphernalia and there was a sense of relief in the conscious community.
