AGARTALA, March 29 (TIWN): Tipra Motha supremo Pradyot Manikya on Wednesday while addressing media after returning Tripura followed by a meeting with the Union Home Ministry once again said until the Govt of India meets up with the demands of the Tipra Motha party about the constitutional solution, there will be no further agreement or understanding. “We are in opposition. If the Govt of India agrees to our demands which is a solution for the ST population then we will also cooperate and stay with the Govt; otherwise, we are in opposition and operate as a very strong opposition party. People know the power of opposition here”.
On being asked why hasn’t Union Home Ministry appointed any interlocutor yet even after crossing the deadline of 27th March as per the promise, Manikya replied media “You should ask the question to the Home Minister instead of me”.

Pradyot Manikya was addressing media after he land landed at Agartala MBB Airport from Delhi.
Earlier, it was said by Pradyot Manikya that Union Home Minister Amit Shah over telephone had assured him to appoint an interlocutor by 27 to discuss about the constitutional solution.
“I have never demanded anything for me. No post or position. All demands are for my people”, said Pradyot Manikya.
