AGARTALA, March 24 (TIWN): The mortuary was not spared from the miscreants’ hand. According to the details of the incident, the miscreants attacked the mortuary of Bishalgarh Sub-Divisional hospital late last night and smashed the chairs and tables in the morgue. Later on Friday around 12 noon, Anant Kumar Das who was in charge of the morgue at the Sub-Divisional hospital, noticed the incident and reported it to the media.

Anant Kumar Das said miscreants attacked the mortuary at Sub-Divisional Hospital twice in a row. It is said that even after informing Dr Jyotirmoy Das, the health officer in charge of the Sub-Divisional Hospital nothing was done, oppositely he tried to cover up this matter.

Now the health department is looking at what action will be taken against the health officer attending the sub-divisional Hospital.
