AGARTALA, March 20 (TIWN): Five businessmen of Udaipur Garjee Bazaar closed their shops on Sunday night unlike everyday and went home as usual. At approximately 2 o'clock, the traders received news that fire engulfed in the market. On being informed, the traders rushed to the spot.
Immediately the Fire Department was informed but the fire Department personnel arrived at the spot late. Total five shops burnt into ashes before the Fire department brought the fire under control.
About 20 lakh rupees items were affected in this fire incident, said the affected businessmen. The affected businessmen said they were supporters of the ruling BJP party. They appealed to the Union Minister of State Pratima Bhowmik and the area's BJP MLA Abhishek Debroy for Financial Assistance.
